North American Jews and Israelis in Transition

The time between Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut is a time of transition for Israeli Jews and Jews around the world: from mourning to joy, from sadness to celebration. As we recognize this moment, Maital Friedman, a Vice President at the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America and Rabbi Michelle Dardashti of Kane Street Synagogue will discuss recent changes in Israel and the transitional moment in which we, as North American Jews, find ourselves. How can North American and Israeli Jews understand and relate to the country as it turns 75?
