Join us in participating at a free community brunch event featuring two fascinating speakers and a special book gift! Event Description: This event is celebrating 75 years of the existence of the State of Israel, with a special attention to the wonderful gifts Israel brings by virtue of its being. Focus area #1: Israel’s gift to the Jewish people themselves, featuring Law Professor Oren Gross, who will discuss the Jewish people’s quest for self determination and Israel’s Focus area #2: Israel’s gift to its neighboring states, featuring IDF’s Eyal Dror, who will discuss the example of Israel’s largest humanitarian project, operation “Good Neighbor.” Focus area #3: Israel’s gift to the world, by providing each participant a copy of the book “Let There Be Water: Israel’s Solution for a Water-Starved World” by Seth M. Siegel. |

Speakers Bios:
Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) Eyal Dror, an active IDF reserve officer, serving in the Golan Heights, with 24 years of service in diverse positions throughout the security forces coordination and liaison units. Was both the founder and commander of the historic, national-level “Good Neighbor” Project. During the various positions he held in the security forces. Eyal is working on a Ph.D. specializing in inter-organizational collaboration during times of crisis, an expert on both Palestinians and Syrian affairs, taking part in media panels on these topics. His unique work on the Good Neighbor Project led him to write a book – “Embracing the Enemy”. Visit Eyal Dror’s website to read more via THIS LINK.
Law Professor Oren Gross, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Irving Younger Professor of Law at the University of Minnesota Law School. He is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of international law and national security law. Professor Gross holds an LL.B. degree magna cum laude from Tel Aviv University and LL.M. and S.J.D. degrees from Harvard Law School. He has taught and held visiting positions in leading institutions such as Harvard Law School and Princeton University. He is the author of numerous articles and two award winning books and is a member of the American Law Institute. Between 1986 and 1991, Professor Gross served as a senior legal advisory officer in the international law branch of the IDF’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
